Sing Songs, Bring Sweets

Month: November, 2015

Sorry for the gaps!

I apologize for my sporadic posting!  I’ve been pretty busy and exhausted lately.  The time change has really messed with the kids’ schedules, and it’s been hard to get them to bed at the same time.  Hopefully, that will improve soon.

Also, please keep Ma in your thoughts and prayers.  She’s been in the hospital four weeks now, and I’ve never gone this long without being able to speak to her.  It’s been really tough.  Fortunately, we were able to make a quick trip to Beaumont this past weekend to see her, and she did respond to the kids’ voices a little.  The kids were excellent in the car, which I’m also very grateful for.

He sits in the chair all by himself during haircut time!  Poor little guy was attacked by mosquitoes earlier that day.

Happy Halloween!

We went with a Lord of the Rings theme this year–took these pics at the Botanical Gardens a few days before Halloween:

Frodo is ticklish 🙂

Thursday was the school Halloween party!  Jed had a blast, but Eliza wasn’t feeling well and had to go home early.  At least she was able to enjoy her party first!

Fortunately, Eliza felt much better by Saturday and we all had an enormously fun Halloween!  Our neighborhood had tons of trick or treaters and a wonderful party atmosphere (one neighbor always pulls out his DJ equipment).  A great time was had by all!

After looking at these pictures, I realized that Eliza and Jed look really serious in most of them!  They were so happy and silly the whole evening, but it’s hard to get them to smile for the camera!
