Barnes and Noble is such a great place to spend time with Eliza. For some reason, they sell a variety of baby toys, which gives her something to do while I enjoy a pumpkin spice latte.
Reading picture books with Eliza is currently a bit challenging. She gets mad when I won’t give her the book, which she will immediately put in her mouth if given the chance. Even those little cardboard baby books aren’t safe around her at the moment. My solution is to read a children’s chapter book aloud to her while she plays with her toys. Not sure if she’s paying much attention, but at least she’s exposed to lots of language and we’re both entertained!
We’re just about to finish up The Secret Garden, which is such a sweet story.
